Light snow is expected to develop tonight, with a snow accumulation of one to three inches possible, according to the National Weather Service in New York, which provided the following forecast for the East End:
Sunshine this morning will give way to cloudy skies. Temperatures will be colder with highs in the mid 30s today. West winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Tonight, expect snow with accumulation of around an inch. Lows will dip into the mid 20s. Chance of snow tonight is 80 percent.
Snow is likely in the morning tomorrow. Highs will reach the mid-30s on Friday and fall to 19 on Friday night.
Mostly cloudy skies will prevail on Saturday when there will be a slight chance of light snow in the afternoon. Highs will be around 30.
Cold weather sets in this weekend, with night time lows around 10 degrees and wind chill values around zero.
