Southold Town police blotter: Jan. 15 – 22

Excerpts from the Southold Town Police Press Reports, Jan. 22, 2017

On Jan. 16 a Greenport woman reported to police that she was the victim of a bank account scam in which $2,100 was stolen. She canceled her bank account and detectives were notified.

A Greenport woman reported that someone entered her yard and used her hot tub some time in mid-January. She stated that she found pencils and paper on the scene. The tub was not damaged.

On Jan. 20 police received a call about damage to hockey lights at Cochran Park in Peconic. The damage was minimal and has since been repaired. There are no suspects at this time.

Police received a report on Jan. 21 of property damage at a Pine Neck Road, Southold residence and observed what appeared to be damage done to a fence by an unknown vehicle. The property owner was notified.
