Ahkee Anderson led the Porters to an 80-48 victory over the Bridgehampton Killer Bees last night at Greenport High School.

The game began with both teams going basket for basket in a fast-paced first half. Greenport drove hard to the basket, scoring on shots down low in the paint, to three-pointers from the perimeter. The teams finished the first quarter tied at 13, with Greenport pulling ahead at the half, 33-27.

The second half was a different story. Greenport came out flying, stealing the ball at both ends, scoring on drives down low, putting in rebounds, and all-around solid, team play.

Anderson had 25 points with 10 assists, eight rebounds and five steals. Jordan Fonseca put 13 points on the board and had five steals.

This was possibly the best game of this season for Greenport (9-5 overall, 5-0 in League VIII), looking solid at both ends of the court. When Greenport shut the door on Bridgehampton (9-5 overall, 4-1 in League VIII), it ended with a final score of 80-48.

The Porters host Stony Brook Friday evening at 6:15.
