Boy Scout Troop 39 held a “Souper Bowl” fundraiser at American Legion Hall in Mattituck Saturday afternoon to raise money for their High Adventure trip to Florida at the end of the year.

The week-long trip to Munson Island in Florida allows the scouts to learn about marine habitats and enjoy kayaking, sailing and snorkeling, said troop committee member Lori Garbarno.

Garbarno and troop chairwoman Tammy Hildesheim — along with a few scouts — cooked up both vegetarian and beef chili plus cornbread.
