Cops: Man stopped for speeding drove with revoked license

A Medford man was arrested on charges of aggravated unlicensed operation and possession of marijuana Saturday in Peconic.

Southold Town Police said they stopped Andy A. Diaz, 25, for speeding on Route 48 and Carroll Avenue in Peconic at about 10:40 a.m. Saturday. Police said Diaz was driving with a revoked license. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana, police said.

He was arrested and taken to police headquarters where he was processed and released on bail, according to a police press release issued Sunday.
