Southold Town police blotter: Feb. 6 – Feb. 12

Excerpts from the Southold Town Police Press Reports, Feb. 12, 2017

On Feb. 8 an East Marion man called police when his car was keyed while at the Southold 7-11. There are no suspects; police are investigating.

Police were called to the Cross Sound Ferry parking lot in Orient on Feb. 9 when a fire broke out in the engine compartment of an Orient man’s car. The man was able to extinguish the fire and the car was towed away.

An Orient woman reported on Feb. 9 that she and her husband had been receiving threatening phone calls from an unknown male. Police are investigating.

A Greenport man called police on Feb. 9 to report a group of five youths knocking over signs near the 7-11 in Mattituck. Police responded and spoke to the boys. No further action was taken.
