Cops: Man wanted on two warrants arrested on drug after foot chase

A Huntington man wanted on two active warrants was arrested this morning after a foot pursuit when a Southold Town Police detective spotted him walking down Sound Avenue in Mattituck, according to a police press release.

Police said Brian Shedrick, 31, was found to be in possession of heroin and a hypodermic needle. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a hypodermic needle and resisting arrest.

Shedrick was arrested, transported to Southold Town Police Department headquarters for processing and held for arraignment.
