Christopher L. Thomas of Flanders died March 4, 2017 at Peconic Bay Medical Center. He was 36 years old.
He was born July 1, 1980 in Riverhead to Samia and Alease (Reid) Thomas.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Riverhead. His family said he loved gospel music and his mother’s cooking.
Predeceased by his father, Samia, in 2016 and Phyliss Minter, he is survived by his mother Alease of Flanders, his brothers Dwayne Thomas, Samia Thomas Jr. and Richard Minter Jr, by his sisters Brenda Minter, Patricia Minter and Debbie Woodley.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 10 from 10 to 11 a.m. at The First Baptist Church. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
