A two-car accident at the intersection of Main Road and Love Lane injured one person Tuesday morning, according to police.
Donald J. Mott, 70, of Bay Shore, was heading eastbound in a 2014 Chevy van on Main Road in Mattituck at 7:55 a.m. when he attempted to make a left turn onto Love Lane and crashed into a 2012 Chevy pickup truck driven by Austin W. Tuthill, 23, of Cutchogue, causing the truck to hit a utility pole, Southold police said.
Tuthill was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries and transported to Eastern Long Island Hospital by the Mattituck Fire Department.
