Mattituck High School announces 2017 valedictorian and salutatorian

Mattituck High School seniors Tyler Seifert and Thomas Hoeg have been announced as the Class of 2017 valedictorian and salutatorian.

Valedictorian Tyler Seifert, who is the senior class vice president, National Honor Society executive board member, captain of the varsity lacrosse and basketball teams and a NJROTC honor cadet award recipient, will attend Georgia Tech to study engineering. Tyler is also on the varsity golf team and is a National Merit Commended student.

Salutatorian Thomas Hoeg, who is captain of the cross country team, an all-county wrestling champion, president of the foreign language club and a member of DECA, the math league and the National Honor Society, will attend the University of Texas at Austin to study neuroscience.
