Eastern Long Island Hospital has announced the appointment of Terence McLaughlin to the board of directors of the ELIH Foundation.
McLaughlin is a managing director and institutional client advisor with U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management. He works with nonprofits in the metropolitan area and has over 30 years of institutional and private client experience. He directs a team of specialists who create customized strategies for U.S. Trust clients, including investment management, trust and estate planning services, wealth strategy, banking, and specialty asset management.
“Terry is a welcome addition and brings a great deal of financial expertise to the foundation board,” said Scott V. Bennett, ELIH Foundation chairman. “He will be a great asset to Eastern Long Island Hospital as we move into the next decade of caring.”
A graduate of St. John’s University, McLaughlin is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and a past board member of the New York Stock Exchange Institutional Advisory Committee. No stranger to community involvement, he has served on the board of the Long Island Philharmonic and the Friends of Mercy Hospital committee.
McLaughlin is a member of North Fork Country Club and the Long Island Farm Bureau. He is also a sponsor for two of Eastern Long Island Hospital’s premier events, the Golf Classic and the Gala. His wife, Sally is on the 2017 Gala committee. The McLaughlins live in Garden City and summer in Mattituck. Together they have four children.
