Teams to compete in friendly East End trivia night at the Jamesport Meeting House, July 13

How much do you know about the North Fork? Join the supporters of the Jamesport Meeting House in a fun evening of trivia competition and find out.

Grab some friends, form a team and mark your calendar for July 13 at 7 p.m. to join your brainy neighbors in a night of trivia fun. Questions will have a heavy emphasis on information about the North Fork and Long Island but will include general interest queries as well, according to the organizers. Jeff Greenberger and Joe McKay will emcee the event.

The event pits teams of two to four players against each other to raise money for the oldest public building on the East End. Teams commit to a sponsorship of at least $50 in order to enter the competition. For $5 spectators can join in the fun and sponsor teams as well. Prizes will be awarded to the top scoring team and the team that raises the most funds.

The meeting house, a structure built in 1731 by early Puritan settlers, is now operated as a not-for-profit entity that has evolved into a vital center for a broad range of events, including community meetings, lectures, Broadway performances and concerts of all kinds according to a press release.
