Sound Avenue in Mattituck is closed to traffic in both directions today between Bergen Avenue and Cox Neck Road for paving work by the Southold Town Highway Department.
Westbound traffic on Sound Avenue is being detoured onto Cox Neck Road to Bergen Avenue and eastbound traffic is being detoured onto Bergen Avenue to Cox Neck Road, Southold Highway Superintendent Vincent Orlando said this morning.
The work will be finished by late afternoon today, Orlando said.
