A Southold man was airlifted to Stony Brook following a dirt bike accident on Main Bayview Road last night, Southold Town Police said in a press release.
Police said Jonathan Gibson, 46, was lost control of the bike and fell as he drove on Main Bayview at about 7:20 p.m.
Southold Fire Department rescue responded and called for a Suffolk Police helicopter to transport Gibson to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said.
