On June 26, an anonymous person called police to report a beach party going on at Cedar Beach Road in Southold. Police responded and asked a group of youths to leave, which they did.

A Southold man reported that his wallet was stolen from a locker at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport on June 27. The wallet contained a drivers license, identification cards and credit cards. No further information was reported.

An East Marion man phoned police from Manhattan on June 27 to report that an Apple device at his residence had notified him that someone was trying to log in to it. Police checked the man’s residence and found it secure with no signs of criminal activity.

Employees at the Greenport 7-11 phoned police on June 28 to report that a customer who had asked to use the bathroom had gone in and would not come out. Police responded and the customer opened the door and said that he must have fallen asleep. The man was intoxicated and left the premises at the request of the police officer.

A Cutchogue man called police on June 28 to report that a Southold man had taken $1,500 worth of cell phones without permission. Police interviewed the suspect and found the items on his person. The man was arrested and taken to headquarters for processing.

A Jamesport woman called police on June 28 when she observed a small girl alone in a car outside the Mattituck 7-11. When the woman approached the car to ask the girl if she was okay, a man ran out and told her it was his daughter and to mind her own business. Police interviewed the man, who said that he stopped for coffee and could see his daughter the entire time and that he ran out when he saw the strange woman approach his car.

A 30-year feud between two Cutchogue neighbors resulted in a call to police on June 29. The neighbors were arguing over a fallen tree branch, each accusing the other of being the owner of the tree the branch fell off. The neighbors passed the branch back and forth between their properties with no resolution. Police removed the stick to resolve the argument and advised the neighbors to stay away from each other.

On July 2 a Greenport man phoned police to report damage to a fake camera mounted on a telephone police at a community beach. Police are investigating.

Police received a call on July 2 reporting an intoxicated man shouting in the area of the Mitchell Park carousel in Greenport. They found a Greenport man in possession of a cup containing alcohol and issued him a summons.

Police were called to Strawberry Fields in Mattituck July 2 when a fight broke out over a soccer game. A Bay Shore man reportedly kicked and head butted an official at the game, then left in a gray car with a Florida registration. No further information was reported.
