A two-car crash on Route 25 in Peconic sent two people to area hospitals yesterday afternoon.
Southold Town Police said Patricia Woods, 79, of Greenport was driving eastbound on Route 25 at about noon yesterday when a westbound operated by Gerald Weir, 80, of Peconic attempted to make a left turn onto Indian Neck Road. Weir failed to yield, police said. The force of the impact caused Weir’s vehicle to roll over.
Both Woods and Weir sustained minor injuries, police said. Woods was transported by Southold Fire Department to Eastern Long Island Hospital. Weir was transported by Southold Fire Department to Peconic Bay Medical Center.
No arrests were made, police said.
