The body of an unidentified male was discovered washed ashore on the Peconic Bay beach in front of a private residence in Laurel this afternoon, according to Southold Town Police.
Southold police detectives and the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating, police said.
No further information was made available by police.
