A Wading River woman is facing a grand larceny charge in connection with the theft “on several occasions” of over $3,000 from a customer at a Mattituck bank where she worked, according to Southold Town Police.

Indira Lapurka, 47, was charged with grand larceny in the third degree, police said.

Police did not disclose the identity of the bank.

Editor’s note: A criminal charge is an accusation. By law, a person charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
