Massimiliano Spaliviero, M.D. joins Eastern Long Island Hospital staff

Eastern Long Island Hospital has announced the appointment of Dr. Massimiliano Spaliviero to its medical staff. Spaliviero, currently serving as clinical assistant professor of urology at Stony Brook University Hospital, will now also see patients at ELIH.

Spaliviero specializes in the treatment of adults with a wide spectrum of urologic problems, including cancers of the bladder, kidney, prostate and testis; benign prostatic hyperplasia; hydronephrosis, kidney stones and other genitourinary system disorders. By utilizing both open and minimally invasive approaches (endourologic, laparoscopic and robotic-assisted) for surgical procedures, he provides advanced urological care on the East End of Long Island according to a press release issued by Eastern Long Island Hospital.

Paul J. Connor III, president and CEO of Eastern Long Island Hospital says, “We are very excited to have Dr. Spaliviero here at ELIH. He is highly respected in the medical community and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, not only in urology but in urologic cancers as well,” 

Spaliviero earned his medical degree from the Università di Milano in Milano, Italy. He completed a residency in urology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and a urologic oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He has received numerous awards including the “Patient’s Choice Award” and the “Most Compassionate Doctor Award.”
