Skies were sunny and the weather was summer-like as thousands flocked to Greenport Village for the the East End Seaport Museum’s popular Maritime Festival.

The festival kicked off with a parade featuring pirates, first responders, community leaders, NJROTC, antique cars and others. Afterwards, crowds headed to the many vendors lining the streets and to Mitchell Park to enjoy family activities and nautical displays.

The festival continues tomorrow, beginning with the Paul Drum Pirates and Mermaids fundraising breakfast.
