Kait’s Angels yard sale to benefit Morgan West, a Cutchogue girl battling an inoperable brain tumor, raised a remarkable $11,000 last weekend.

In a statement issued this morning, Kait’s Angels said they were “astounded by the community support for our beneficiary.”

They apologized for the traffic jam caused by people dropping off donations, saying they were sorry for any inconvenience caused.

They also thanked the Southold Town Police for their assistance in managing the traffic and apologized to members of the community who attempted to donate but who were turned away due to the high volume.

“Please know your intentions were truly appreciated,” they said.

“Most important and what we need never lose sight of is the beauty of our community when one of us is in need.”
