A Greenport man is facing a felony burglary charge after Southold Town Police identified him on surveillance video last night.
Police said an interior motion-activated camera at 74100 Route 25 in Greenport alerted the owner of the premises via cell phone of someone inside the building. The owner contacted police who arrived and searched the building but found no one inside, according to the report. Officers reviewed surveillance footage and identified a suspect, who was then located by police a short distance away.
Police took the man into custody and brought him to police headquarters for questioning.
Police said Anthony Chance, 37, was charged with felony burglary and held for morning arraignment.
