The annual Blessing of the Animals will take place at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Mattituck on Sunday, Oct. 15 at noon on the front lawn of the church. All species of animals are invited to be blessed.
Registration is not required, although cards are available at the church on Oct. 7 and 8 to list owner’s name and pet’s breed and name. This allows the church to make sure they have enough holy water and pet treats on hand for the blessing.
