A Middle Island man was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge following a disturbance at a Peconic winery yesterday afternoon.

Police said Gregory C. Drury, 27, and a group of friends traveling in a limousine were highly intoxicated and arguing with another group of visitors at Osprey’s Dominion winery, Southold police said. Drury and his friends were asked to leave the premises but refused. Police were called at about 4 p.m.

“Drury engaged in tumultuous and threatening behavior with the staff and officers at the scene,” Southold Town Police said in a press release. “Drury was yelling abusive and obscene language to the crowd of people at the winery,” police said.

He was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing.
