The candidates for Southold town council will meet for a roundtable discussion hosted by SoutholdLOCAL Nov. 2 at 7 p.m.
The roundtable will be streamed live online on SoutholdLOCAL’s Facebook page.
Incumbents Bob Ghosio and Jim Dinizio, both running on the Republican line, will face off with challengers Debbie O’Kane and Mary Eisenstein, both running on the Democratic ticket.
The session will be moderated by SoutholdLOCAL editor and publisher Denise Civiletti.
“We wanted to give voters a chance to hear what the candidates have to say about issues that are important to them,” Civiletti said. “We’re excited to leverage 21st century technology to bring the discussion to voters in a way that’s most convenient to voters, to allow as many people as possible the opportunity to be informed — and participate,” she said.
“These will be a lively and unscripted event,” Civiletti said. Answers will not be time-limited and back-and-forth discussion will be encouraged.
The news website will accept questions from residents both in advance of the live event as well as in real time on the night of the event.
Have you got questions for the candidates?
Submit them in advance of the debate by email or by sending a private message to the SoutholdLOCAL Facebook page. If your question is directed at a particular candidate, please be sure to say who it’s for.
The questions submitted will not be shared with the candidates or their campaigns in advance of the live event.
Every effort will be made to include questions submitted on Facebook during the live events, as time allows.
A recording of the event will be posted on this website after its conclusion.
