Southold defeated Greenport 3-1 at Southold High School in the Suffolk Class C semifinals yesterday.

Greenport took the lead at the start of the game, scoring on a 15-yard strike by Mateo Arias. With a 1-0 lead, the Porters looked solid, controlling the play in both ends as Southold looked to get into the game. Southold did on a corner kick by Ryan Herrmann to tie it up. Later in the first half, Edwin Martinez scored from 30 yards out to put Southold on top, 2-1. Southold scored again in the second half on a 35-yard strike by Luis Herrera to make it 3-1.
