Prepare for a weekend of Halloween festivities beginning tomorrow morning with Greenport Village’s March of the Goblins & Hounds parade through the downtown. This year the village has expanded its Halloween fun to include family activities in Mitchell Park following the parade.

There will be a costume contest, free rides on the carousel, children’s games and even an agility course for four-legged participants.

The parade kicks off from Floyd Memorial Library at 10 a.m. and marches to Mitchell Park.

Southold PTO is also holding its annual parade starting at the firehouse on Main Road in Southold and proceeding to the elementary school, where there will be fun activities for children. The parade starts at 11 a.m.

The Oysterponds Historical Society is hosting a family friendly fall festival in Orient beginning at 2 p.m. Get ready for spooky stories, a cider press, games, crafts, live music, harvest demonstrations, a scavenger hunt and more. There will also be a costume parade and trick-or-treating.

For the adults there will be a Halloween cruise to Bug Light which departs from the East End Seaport Museum in Greenport at 4 p.m.

Also for adults are parties in Greenport at The Halyard Restaurant, American Beech and Lucharito’s.
