The Southold PTA/PTO held its fourth annual Halloween Trunk or Treat event at Southold Elementary School today, showcasing the creative talents of the school community.

Nearly 20 families participated, decorating their trunks and watching as the children paraded by to “trunk or treat.”

“This is such a great way to bring people together and set an example for children that you can have fun and be creative,” said elementary principal Ellen O’Neill.

As lines of students paraded past the decked out car trunks, parent organizer Dawn Grzegoreczyk expressed delight with the way the event turned out.

“I love to see children happy and enjoy an experience that promotes the best in our community,” she said.
