Two people were injured in a two-car crash on Main Road in Cutchogue this morning.

A maroon Mercedes E320 collided with a green Toyota Camry XLE in front of Trimbles Nursery around 11 a.m. according to Cutchogue Fire Department second assistant chief Amos Meringer. The cause of the accident is under investigation, he said.

Two people were transported to Eastern Long Island Hospital with minor injuries, according to Meringer.

Traffic was diverted to Route 48 while police and fire personnel cleared the scene.

A previously published version of the story incorrectly identified the Mercedes e320 as a Chrysler e320.
