A Greenport man accused of looking into windows of a house on Second Street in Greenport yesterday is facing a criminal trespass charge, according to Southold Town Police.

Police said they responded to a 911 call reporting a person trespassing and looking into windows of a residence on Second Street yesterday at about 5:50 p.m.

Officer Richard Jernick apprehended Stanley Lawrence, 49, near the scene of the incident, according to a police report.

Lawrence was arrested on a charge of criminal trespass, a misdemeanor. He was transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and held for arraignment.
