Two convicted sex offenders are facing grand larceny charges in connection with the theft of $50,000 from a Southold business. One of the men is also facing multiple child pornography charges.

Southold detectives arrested Joseph Wolm, 42, and Ernesto Martinez, 56, both of Mastic Beach, on second-degree and third-degree grand larceny charges, according to a police press release.

Wolm, who was found to be in possession of child pornography, was additionally charged with 25 counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child.

Both men were currently on parole for prior sex offenses, police said.

They were both arrested following their indictment by a Suffolk County grand jury.

They were scheduled to be arraigned today in Suffolk County Criminal Court.

Editor’s note: A criminal charge is an accusation. By law, a person charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
