Parnell Gerald O’Connell of New York City and Montclair, New Jersey died suddenly on Nov. 27, 2017. He was 52 years old.
He was born in Kensington, Maryland on Oct. 2, 1963 to Estelle (nee Kaloski) and Maurice King O’Connell.
He received a Bachelor of Science from New York University. He was a real estate broker with Brown Harris Stevens.
His family said he would be remembered for his generosity toward people and animals.
Predeceased by his parents, he is survived by his sisters Leslie O’Connell Esposito and Kathleen O’Connell Pritchard.
The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, Dec. 5 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck where prayer services will be conducted that afternoon. Rev Mariusz Gorazd will celebrate the Liturgy of Christian Burial on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery in Cutchogue.
