Albert J. Krupski Sr., a lifelong resident of Peconic, died at his home on Dec. 5, 2017. He was 89 years old.
He was born on Dec. 28, 1927 at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport to Nettie (nee Danielowich) and Julius J. Krupski. He attended Peconic Elementary and Southold High School.
He married Helen A. Sidor on August 22, 1950 at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in Cutchogue. Together they settled in Peconic and owned and operated Krupski Farms.
In the community, he had been a member of the East Cutchogue School Board, a trustee of the Cutchogue Library and a communicant of Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church and the Holy Name Society.
Predeceased by his wife Helen A. Krupski on March 20, 2017, he is survived by his children, Susan Krupski Fisher (Don) of Southold, Albert J. Krupski Jr. (Mary) of Cutchogue and James Krupski of Maryland and his five grandchildren, Benjamin Krupski Fisher, A. Nicholas Krupski, Colleen Marie Krupski, Kimberly Susan Krupski and Evelyn Krupski Fisher.
The family received friends on Dec. 8 at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Dec. 9 at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church. Rev. Mariusz Gorazd officiated. Interment followed at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery.
