Michael J. Sidor of East Quogue, formerly of Riverhead, died at his home on Dec. 12, 2017. He was 80 years old.
He was born on Feb. 14, 1937 in Riverhead to Michael and Nellie Sidor.
He graduated from Riverhead High School. He worked as a heavy equipment operator with the Town of Southampton after first working as a driver for Rheingold Beer in Riverhead. He was a past member of the East Quogue Fire Department, a current member of the East Quogue Fire Department Benevolent Association and a life member of the Flanders Men’s Club.
Predeceased by his wife Patricia in 2000 and his sister Irene Underwood, he is survived by his children Lori Sidor of Sag Harbor, Mark of East Quogue and Patrick of East Quogue, by his sister Dorothy Costantini of Riverhead, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, Dec. 14 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin-Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
