Photos: Crowds turn out for North Fork holiday fairs

Holiday spirit was in the air on Saturday as Christmas fairs aplenty popped up across the North Fork.

A crowd was lined up early at Mattituck Presbyterian Church’s annual Christmas Bazaar, which featured baked goods, toys and games, holiday items, plants, jewelry, household items and a “Children’s Room,” where children could shop for their families.

And scores turned out for the Southold Historical Society’s first-ever Holiday Fair, which took place at the Southold Recreation Center, located on Peconic Lane in Peconic. Vendors displayed handcrafted items, jewelry, gifts and artwork as happy shopper filled bags to take home and put under the tree.
