Carolee Celatka Taylor, of Greenport, died March 14, 2014 at San Simeon by the Sound in Greenport. She was 75 years old.
Born July 9, 1938 in Southold, she was the daughter of Anthony and Eleanor Celatka.
She attended White Plains Nursing School, where she was graduated as the valedictorian of her class in 1959. She worked as a nurse at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport.
She enjoyed gardening and the beach, her family said.
She is survived by her children: Thomas, of Mattituck; Linda Townsend of Johnsonville, N.Y.; Kathryn, of Port Jefferson; Joseph, of Rockwall, Tex.; Carolee Pimentel, of Frankin, Mass.; Ellie Brody of Norwood, Mass; and by 13 grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors Monday, March 17, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home, 32470 Main Road, Cutchogue. A funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, March 18 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church, Main Road, Mattituck. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 3494 Depot Lane, Cutchogue.
