Stephanie J. Whalen (nee Mendrala) died Aug. 19, 2015 in Oneonta, New York. She was 93 years old.
She was predeceased by her husband John and is survived by her sons, John (Audrey), Edward (Jeannie), Stephen and Robert (Patricia). She is also survived by grandchildren Heather Piscatelli, Bert Whalen, and Sean Whalen and great-grandchildren Nicholas Whalen, Alexandra Piscatelli and Cassandra Whalen, as well as by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Aug. 21 at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home where Deacon Jeff Sykes conducted prayer services. Interment was on August 22 at Pinelawn Memorial Park where services officiated by Deacon Thomas Hennessy.
