Police charged a 37-year-old Southold woman with driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle crash in Southold last night.
Police said Gloria Alsobrook, of Southold, was driving a 2004 Jeep Cheroke on Main Bayview Road near Jacobs Lane at about 7:45 p.m. when she lost control of the vehicle and overturned, flipping it twice, according to the report. Alsobrook left the scene and a witness followed her to the area of Watersedeges Road, where she was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated, police said.
Alsobrook was transported by Southold Fire Department rescue to Eastern Long Island Hospital. She was treated and released, taken to police headquarters and held for morning arraignment, police said.
