Greenport Village has been named among “10 of the most charming small towns” in New York State by the website onlyinyourstate.com.
The website attempts to list the best and worst people, places, and things in each American state.
People outside the region tend to think of the Big Apple when they envision New York, writes the author of the article singling out the state’s “most charming.”
Greenport, the only Long Island town to make the list, “will ease your mind with its relaxing air filled with the smell of salt. Once a strong fishing village, Greenport restaurants and wineries are still known to serve its customers fresh fish out of the nearby Peconic Bay,” according to the article.
