Southold’s Relay for Life takes place tonight at Jean Cochran Park on Peconic Lane.
There will be a large chinese auction, refreshments and local entertainment, as well as the opportunity to learn about cancer prevention and support local cancer survivors — as well as raising money for the American Cancer Society.
The event kicks off at 6 p.m. with a survivor’s reception. All who have ever faced a cancer diagnosis are welcome with a guest. Dinner will be provided at the park by the Sound View Restaurant.
The opening ceremony takes place at 7 p.m., with the luminaria ceremony at 9 p.m. Light a candle to honor or remember someone.
