Cops: Bronx man used forged scrip to buy Oxycodone at Mattituck pharmacy

A Bronx man who used a forged prescription at a Mattituck pharmacy was arrested by Southold Town Police this afternoon, police said in a press release tonight.

Tynel Williams, 23, used a used the name and driver’s license of another man to fill a prescription for 120 Oxycodone pills at Rite-Aid, police said. Williams was arrested after leaving the pharmacy with the pills.

Detectives recovered several more forged prescriptions and the driver’s identifications of several other people during a search of Williams’ vehicle, according to the police press release.

Two other people in Williams’ vehicle were briefly detained and released after it was determined they were not involved in the crime, police said.

Williams was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument 2nd degree, criminal impersonation and criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree.
