A Farmingville woman was arrested on driving while intoxicated charges Friday night following a motor vehicle crash on Route 25 in Orient, Southold Town Police said in a press release this morning.
Police said Marie Chao, 31, lost control of her vehicle on Route 25 and Windward Road at about 9:30 Friday night. Her 2014 Honda ran off the roadway, across the lawn of a home and into a large evergreen tree and road sign, according to police.
Chao was transported to Southold Town Police headquarters, where she was booked on DWI charges and held overnight for arraignment in Southold Town Justice Court, police said.
