David R. Sczcesny of East Quogue died July 4, 2017 at Peconic Bay Medical Center. He was 71 years old.
He was born in Brooklyn on April 19, 1946 to Frank and Pauline (Dudzienski) Szczesny.
He graduated from Bethpage High School in 1964.
He was the owner of Paints Plus in Riverhead and Westhampton. He was a member of the Mid-Atlantic Koi Club and had built two koi ponds. In his spare time, he enjoyed snowmobiling, tennis, racquetball, golf, fishing, boating, scuba diving, horseback riding and reading.
Predeceased by his parents, he is survived by his wife Janice (Nikifor) of East Quogue and his sisters Pat Lahm of Michigan and Frances Lombardo of Arizona.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, July 10 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home. A service is scheduled at the funeral home at 3 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
