Southold Town Police this morning report two arrests for vehicle and traffic law violations.
Angel Torres, 54, of Bellport, was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge after a police officer observed him failing to maintain his lane of travel on County Route 48 in Southold Tuesday night, according to a Southold Town Police press release.
Angela Randazzo, 27, of Middle Island, was arrested for driving with a suspended license, texting while driving and driving with no hands on the wheel yesterday morning on Route 25 in Cutchogue, police said. After receiving a report of a vehicle failing to maintain its lane of travel on Route 25, responding officers saw Randazzo holding a cell phone with both hands with the forearms against the steering wheel driving westbound, according to a police report.
Randazzo was arrested and later released on $100 cash bail. Torres was held for arraignment, police said.
