Students at Cutchogue East Elementary school celebrated the launch of Project Fit America this morning.

Southold High School’s baseball season came to an end today at St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue, where the Settlers lost to North Salem 2-1.

The Mattituck Tuckers took down the Wheatley Wildcats and claimed the Class B Long Island Championship today with a no-hitter thrown by Brendan Kent.

Mattituck came up with a huge win over Babylon to claim the Suffolk County Class D girls lacrosse championship today at St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue.

Mattituck defeated Center Moriches six to one today, clinching the Suffolk County Class B Championship title.

Behind a stellar performance by pitching ace Liam Pulsipher Center Moriches pushed Mattituck into Class B final yesterday with a 3-0 win.

Mercy will get another shot at the Class B Championship Monday, when they face the loser of Saturday’s playoff game between Center Moriches and Babylon.

Southold came to play and they came with a vengeance. After losing game two 4-1, ending their unbeaten streak at 21, the Settlers were ready for the rubber match with Pierson today. They called on their ace Dylan Clausen and, after a rocky first inning that ended with a 3-2 Pierson lead, Clausen delivered, fanning nine batters in six innings to lead Southold to a 14-4 win and the county title.

Southold was handed their first loss of the season by Pierson/Bridgehampton back in game two of the Suffolk Class C Championship, 4-1.
